6th June 2016Anger, Atheism and Meeting the Taliban
Following on from the first two highly successful Sunday@6 events at Thrapston Baptist Church, the third will take place on Sunday 26th June.
This time it is the turn of Rev Mark Lees to share his story. Mark is one of the ministers at Rushden Full Gospel Church and is Chairman of East Northants Community Services.
Telling how he once rejected his Methodist upbringing, became a communist and a confirmed atheist, Mark’s story is an honest and gripping account that touches on issues of politics, social justice, life's struggles, and a life transformed by an experience of God.
In his words: “I will be sharing from some of the rich, deep and sometimes disturbing aspects of my past and the experiences that have shaped my life and led me to a life of service in some of the most sensitive and dangerous parts of the world”.
The event starts at 6:00pm, admission is free and refreshments will be provided.
