About the Pastor

Andrew Thompstone

I have come to the role of Pastor recently, having worked in the commercial world for around 30 years.

I trained at Spugeons College and was invited to serve as pastor at Thrapston Baptist Church in late 2023.

My vision is to build a church with emphasis on family and belonging that has impact on the community.

I married Vicky in 2025 and live with her and 4 dogs of varying but smaller size.

I love music ands comedy which help me to relax when not at the church.

I have heart for serving God, the church and people.

Jan

I have been a member of the church for a long time now and have served in many capacities including running Mothers & Toddlers, helping with coffee morning and helping out wherever needed.

I can have strong opinions and I'm not scared to speak my mind when it is right to do so. I also have a heart for people and a caring heart.

I was elected into leadership in 2025 and I am excited to serve the church.

James

I have been part of TBC since 2006, having lived in Thrapston most of my life. I was baptised and received into church membership in 2008. I’ve been an active part of the church for many years now, principally as part of the worship band.

The Lord led me to stand for leadership in June 2021 as we all emerged from lockdown. I am passionate about seeing our church body grow in their faith, being firmly rooted in God’s word and living this out in the town of Thrapston and beyond.

Hilary

I have been a member of Thrapston Baptist Church for many years and have serve in several capcities during my time.

With encouragement I accepted the opportunity to serve on the leadership team in early 2025.

My heart is for hospitality and pastoral care and will be undertaking these in my role.

I am a retired nurse and now share life with my beautiful cat Angel.

Paul

I have been a full member of TBC for some years now. I joined the leadership team in 2022 with Vicky. I have heart for God and Biblical peaching.

I am also a teacher by day, attempting to spread knowledge of science to teenagers.

I am married to Virginie and have an active and sometimes demanding son Pierre.

I also love all things practical and have my long term project of restoring a mini.
